What is the Esoteric Breast Massage and why do we need it?
The Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM) is a specialised women’s health modality practised by women only. It is a light circular massage technique using specially formulated cream and oil, applied to the surrounding heart and lymphatic areas of the breast tissue.

What is the Esoteric Breast Massage and why do we need it?
The Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM) is first and foremost an energetic massage. This is based on the understanding that parallel with the physical body is an energetic body and an energetic state of being – how we are feeling essentially. The interplay between the body and the energetic being becomes an inseparable relationship worth bringing to our awareness, and worth developing when we aspire to feel well at a deeper level beyond just physical health.

The understanding of the energetic body underlying the physical is an ancient science that comes to us through the philosophy of the Ageless Wisdom, and was known to many in the field of medicine, healing and health, dating as far back as Imhotep and since in various epochs and periods throughout history. Indeed today energy healing is still known widely, and variously practiced within indigenous cultures, eastern traditions and increasingly being introduced to western society, so it is essentially nothing new, however it is not yet a common daily practice, as it once was, in today’s fast-paced and scientifically orientated culture.
The EBM brings focus to the energetic aspect of a woman’s body allowing her to connect with a deeper, inner part of herself which is at once very familiar but usually buried and overshadowed by all her daily activities, emotions and thoughts about herself and her life. It is an assistive treatment that may help a woman re-establish a connection with her essential being, the love, stillness and power she is at her core. We call this stillness or femaleness, a quality that has been largely lost sight of in the world today where women are in constant drive with little connection to their inner aspect.
Why do we massage the lymphatic areas around the breasts?
Just like there is physical anatomy and physiology there is an energetic anatomy and physiology in which the body is known to be made up of thousands of energy centres (or nadis) which can be ignited or activated to restore a more harmonious and innate rhythm to a woman’s body. You could liken it to a kind of energetic map correlated to the body with the areas around the breasts being specific to important aspects of a woman’s life and how she feels about herself.
The breasts themselves are understood to be a woman’s nurturing centres, which is evident when a woman is breast-feeding a newborn child, however our expression of nurturing exceeds far beyond this human instinct of developing young and is in fact an energetic quality that all women carry from young to old, whether they choose to bear children or not. Sadly, this is not commonly experienced, and instead we are driving our female bodies to pay less and less attention to the details of life that would have us take care of our deeper sensitivities as well as bring such a rich holding to our relationships.

Quite simply, the EBM treatment works with energetically activating the areas around the breast that then naturally affects the breasts themselves. This allows a woman to feel their subtle, beautiful and emanating quality and once reminded through that connection, it is undeniable that her breasts represent more than just their physical functions.

The EBM can also support a woman to let go of the identification with her outer life and feel her innate stillness. The value of re-establishing this deeper connection to her body and being is that it can empower her to live in a more self-honouring, self-nurturing way which is nevertheless fully active and engaged with life but not at the cost of her own health and well-being.
Our expression of nurturing exceeds far beyond the human instinct of developing young and is in fact a quality that all women carry from young to old, whether they choose to bear children or not.
